With the Bietschhorn behind you, this hike takes you from Bürchen to the Bürchneralp and then to the Moosalp through a beautiful forest where you can enjoy the silence and tranquility completely for yourself. Arrived on the Bürchneralp the first magical panorama awaits you, the second on the "stand".

Der Wanderweg von Törbel auf die Moosalp führt dich an wunderschönem Panorama mit Blick auf die Mischabelgruppe und durch magische Wälder hindurch. Am Ende der Wanderung erreichst du den «Stand» auf welchem du einen umfassenden Rundumblick über das ganze Oberwallis und einige Viertausender hast.

If you don't know Moosalp yet, you can get to know it perfectly on this circular hike and acclimatize to the altitude of 2,000 meters. The "Stand" is one of the beacons of the region. It is the highest point on the high plateau of Moosalp and offers you an incredible panoramic view over the entire Upper Valais and twelve four-thousand-meter peaks.

Was ist "The Moos" überhaupt?
During the last ice age, glaciers formed the Moosalp area into an impressive round hummock landscape. About 12,000 years ago, the enormous ice masses retreated. In the process, the bogs formed in the depressions between the round humps of gneiss.
The entire Moosalpregion is characterized by a sparse larch-pine forest. Some parts are under nature protection. The nature reserve covers an area of 1.5 km² with 11 different mire biotopes, both raised bogs and fens.

When can I take the tour?
You can take the Magic Moss tour during the opening hours of the restaurants. The tour is also possible only during the summer season until mid-October.
