Take a ride with the Alpuschnaager

Explore the Moosalp region with the Alpuschnaager, our snow groomer with passenger cabin, which takes you comfortably from Bürchen to the Bürchner and Moosalp. Get in and after a short time you will be on the Bürchner- or Moosalp without any effort. Take a walk to the stand, from where you have an overwhelming view of the surrounding mountain panorama, and then enjoy a fine lunch in one of the restaurants on the Bürchner and Moosalp, before returning to Bürchen by toboggan along the Moosalp road.

Riding the Ramon Zenhäusern slope

The ski area of the Moosalpregion is a varied ski area and offers the right slope for everyone. Also for racers. The Moosalpregion is the sporting home of slalom specialist Ramon Zenhäusern. The foundation for his successful career was laid here, which even led him to a victory at the Olympics. In recognition of his sporting achievements, a ski slope in the area was therefore named after him. Follow in the footsteps of the Olympic champion and ski down the Ramon Zenhäusern slope. The black Ramon Zenhäusern slope is located at the Unterratlift.

Make a ski tour to the Augstbordhorn

For the ambitious, a ski tour to the Augstbordhorn is just the thing. With the skis on your feet, you start from Moosalp and climb to the summit of the 2971m high Augstbordhorn. Once at the top, the efforts of the ascent are rewarded with a magnificent panoramic view of the Valais Alps. Once you have recovered from the ascent, it's time for the beautiful descent. Make your tracks in the fresh powder snow and enjoy your time-out from the hustle and bustle of everyday life in the untouched nature. When you arrive at Moosalp, you can warm up with a warm chocolate in one of the restaurants and recover from your tour. Please note that ski touring is associated with natural hazards, takes place outside the official and secured slopes and is based on personal responsibility. We recommend you to book a mountain guide for this tour. The Moosalp Tourismus AG as well as the Moosalp Bergbahnen AG decline any liability in connection with ski tours outside the marked and secured slopes.

Waiting for the golden chair

How do you make the chairlift ride extra special? By spending it on a golden chair. Wait at the chairlift for the golden Olympic chair and feel like a king for one ride. This very special chair was installed in honor of slalom king Ramon Zenhäusern. The Moosalpregion and the ski racer have always been connected. The Olympic champion learned to ski here and even today he enjoys being able to relax in the Moosalpregion after the stress of racing. The unspoiled nature and tranquility of the region help him to do so.

Sledge ride from Moosalp to Bürchen

The 5.5 km long route from Moosalp to Bürchen (Egga) is ideal for a leisurely sled ride. You can reach Moosalp either on foot or with the Alpuschnaager. You can also take your sled with you in the Alpuschnaager. If you don't have your own sled with you, you can rent a Ghosky sled for the descent from the Alpuschnaager driver or in the Panorama, Dorbia and Moosalp restaurants for CHF 7.

On cross-country skis through the Hellela

In the Moosalpregion you can glide comfortably through the snow. Pack your cross-country skis and take a tour through the Hellela. The varied trail leads you through untouched forests and wide snow fields from the upper Hellela to Zeneggen. The lower, middle and upper Hellela are true treasures of nature. They are large, terraced clearings in the large forests around Bürchen and Zeneggen. From there you can enjoy a particularly clear view of the striking Bietschhorn. The track is about 7 km long and can be completed in classic or skating style. Alternatively, there is a second trail on the Moosalp, which offers a view that is at least as beautiful. You can also rent cross-country skiing equipment at Zenhäusern Sport in Bürchen.

Winter hiking from Törbel to Eischoll

The highlight for ambitious winter hiking birds. The Panorama Trail is the ultimate winter hike, which takes you relatively flat from Törbel through the entire Moosalpregion to Bürchen and from there to Unterbäch or Eischoll. Lined by the Valais and Bernese Alps, the panoramic view changes every hour. On crackling snow you hike between 1,480 and 1,800 m.a.s.l. from mountain village to mountain village. The trail is groomed with snowcats during the winter season. In addition, it is laid out in such a way that only parts of it can be completed. The individual villages can be reached by public transport.

Conquer the Freeridecross

Discover our new Freeridecross! Wondering what a Freedridecross is all about? We show it to you. The Freeridecross is an offer for young and old. It is a further development of a funline. On a track of about 500 meters, different elements are lined up, which have to be overcome. The action-packed descent begins at Chalte Bodu through a start gate. Jump over wood drops, ride through a snow tunnel and high-five hands. The descent takes you over jumps of varying heights, various waves and troughs, and several steep wall turns. The Freeridecross guarantees fun for everyone.

Who is the fastest? Find out on our speed slope. Get faster on every run and compare your results with your friends. The speed slope is located below the Chalte Bodu.

Visiting the snowy forests with the snowshoes

The Moosalpregion is the region with endless forests and untouched nature. Put on your snowshoes and discover this magical winter wonderland on foot. In the Moosalpregion you will find numerous, well-marked snowshoe trails. You only have to follow the pink markings and off you go!

Photographing the Bietschhorn in winter

Whether you're skiing, sledding or walking, there's nothing better than warming up your hands with a hot cup of mulled wine after an eventful day in the snow. In the Moosalpregion you will find plenty of opportunities for this. Visit one of the restaurants in the region and let the warm liquid flow through your body. You can chat with your friends and review the experiences of the day.

Participate in NightFight

On February 27, 2021, the Moosalpregion and the SC Brandegg Bürchen team up for the second time and organize the NighFight. The event is a night parallel slalom, where participants can compete against each other in the categories men, women, youth and celebrity. Be a part of it and measure your skiing skills with others. The event is accompanied by an entertaining program with a restaurant, a DJ and various shows.
