Moosalp Tourismus AG introduces new Board of Directors
Moosalp Tourismus AG is tackling the 2024 financial year with a newly elected Board of Directors. The board is now headed by a three-member co-chairmanship.
Until the end of 2023, responsibility for the operational fortunes of Moosalp Tourism was in the hands of the previous Chairman of the Board of Directors Christian Lehner and the two Board members Thomas Werlen and Beat Ruppen on an interim basis.
Many thanks are due to the outgoing Board members Christian Lehner and Thomas Werlen for their dedicated work and valuable contribution. Special thanks also go to all the employees of Moosalp Tourism. Without their outstanding work, an organization like this would not be able to function.
The growing demands in the tourism industry, including in the areas of personnel, digitalization and cooperation with service providers, are making the search for a new management team increasingly difficult. The aforementioned organizational model from the previous year is therefore being retained.
The newly introduced Co-Presidium shares responsibility for operational tasks and is made up of Beat Ruppen (Marketing & IT), Sophia Rzymski (Finance & Human Resources) and Remo Kaufmann (High Performers).
With Sophia Rzymski and Remo Kaufmann, who both run a hotel and restaurant business in Bürchen, the key players from the regional economy are now directly represented on the Board of Directors. The two are very familiar with the needs and concerns of second home owners, guests and locals with regard to the tourist offer in the Moosalp region. The Co-Presidency intends to join forces, work closely with its partners in the tourism sector and work together as a team for the future of tourism in the Moosalp region.
In a joint statement, the new Board of Directors also emphasizes the intention to deliberately not further expand the infrastructure of the Moosalp region. The region already has a wealth of natural resources that offer residents and tourists alike unique experiences.
"Our focus is to position the Moosalpregion as a retreat into nature that allows for recreation and relaxation. We believe that the conscious decision not to further develop the infrastructure is in line with the needs of the community while preserving the natural beauty of the region"explains Sophia Rzymski.
Remo Kaufmann adds: "We firmly believe that less is sometimes more. By focusing on the existing treasures of the Moosalp region and working closely with the service providers, we can create a sustainable and authentic experience for visitors."
Moosalp Tourismus AG is looking forward to a successful collaboration with the new co-chairmanship and is confident that this decision will further strengthen the development of the Moosalp region as a nature-oriented recreational destination.
The Board of Directors will be supported by the current Board members Urs Juon (Mayor of Törbel), Phillip Zenhäusern (Mayor of Bürchen) and Adrian Seematter (representative of Törbel Tourism).
Those living in the region were also newly elected to the Board of Directors:
Manuel Mengis: musician, painter, mountain guide and passionate cross-country skier
Uwe Kalbermatter: Head of the health workshop practice in Bürchen
David Weissbrodt: Project manager at the Bern University of Applied Sciences
Moosalp Tourism looks to the future with confidence and is convinced that the new Board of Directors, with its diversity of personalities and expertise, will make a decisive contribution to the sustainable development of the Moosalp region.
Christian Lehner will continue to serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Moosalp Bergbahnen AG. He is looking forward to working with the new tourism board and is convinced that the new solution will enable the region's tourism offering to continue at the usual level of service.
