Pure snow magic: experience unforgettable winter moments in the Moosalp region
Winter has arrived in Valais and the Moosalp region has a wealth of exciting experiences in store for you this season. The 2023/2024 winter season in the Moosalp region promises unforgettable adventures.
With the Alpuschnaager from Bürchen to the Moosalp
The Alpuschnaager transports you reliably and safely from Bürchen to Bürchneralp or Moosalp, even without skis or a snowboard. The tracked vehicle with a passenger cabin for up to 20 people departs daily from Egga in the direction of Moosalp at 11.00 am and 12.30 pm from December 23rd. Enjoy the leisurely ride through the snow-covered and peaceful forests. The toboggan run is also available for the way back down to the valley. Toboggans can now be hired from the toboggan depot, 50 meters below the Panorama restaurant in the Alpine stables. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the high season, evening rides including dinner and sledging can also be booked. Reserve your tickets conveniently in our online store.
Fun fact: The term "Alpuschnaager" is derived from the Valais German word "schnaaggu", meaning "to crawl on one's knees". In common parlance, toddlers are often referred to as "Schnaager" during their first attempts at crawling.
Night skiing and guest aperitifs
Experience the magic of the slopes under a glittering starry sky during night skiing in the Bodmen children's paradise in Bürchen. On Wednesday evenings from 6.00 pm to 7.30 pm we open the gates for an unforgettable descent under floodlights. A guest aperitif will be held at the same time. The event offers a festive mix of sport and conviviality. All guests and locals are welcome. Tickets can be purchased at the box office.
We are also organizing our guest aperitifs in Törbel on Wednesdays during the winter season. Enjoy a glass of wine together with delicious snacks, chat with the tourism managers and find out exciting tips about the Moosalp region. The aperitifs take place from 5.00 p.m. to 6.00 p.m. on the Schulhausplatz Törbel. All dates for the 2023/24 season can be found on our website.
Ramon Event
On December 30, 2023, Olympic champion Ramon Zenhäusern returns to his sporting home. On his former training ground in the snow of the Moosalp region, Ramon will compete in an exclusive fun race with visitors to the MoosAlbi children's ski paradise. The race is part of the Snow Cup organized by Swiss Ski in collaboration with Brack.ch. The race starts at 1.30 pm at the Bodmen children's paradise in Bürchen. After the ranking ceremony, there will be an autograph session with Ramon. Register online for the event and meet our champion!
Husky Days in the upper Hellela
For the third time in a row, the Husky Days are being held in collaboration with Wild Swiss Adventure in the upper Hellela between Bürchen and Zeneggen. During the 90-minute event, you will learn lots of interesting facts about the strong and friendly huskies from experienced guides. The event includes an exciting passenger sleigh ride on a 1.6 km long trail in the middle of our beautiful mountain scenery. This year's Husky Days will take place on the weekends of February 3-4 and February 10-11, 2024.
Seppi Sörf Day
On St. Joseph's Day on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, the Moosalp Bergbahnen invite you to the annual Season End. Just in time for the end of the season, we let spring come and celebrate a great end-of-season party together in the Bodmen. Say goodbye to winter in a spectacular way with our Water Slide Contest, which promises action and fun. Slip into your swimming trunks or costume, grab your ski equipment and take the plunge across the "Lake-Bodmen". Information about the program and registration can be found on our website.
The new Moosalp map
For all those who don't really feel comfortable on skis or snowboards but still want to experience carefree winter fun, there is now a new offer to discover. In the 2023/24 season, the new Moosalp Card allows unlimited rides on the Alpuschnaager and grants free access to sledge rental. You will also receive a 30-point card. With the points card, you can use all the lifts in the Moosalp region, including the "Moosalp-Express" chairlift. Enjoy winter to the full without having to worry about additional costs.
