BIKE/E-BIKE

The Moosalpregion - in the heart of the largest biker region in the canton of Valais

Explore the nature of the Moosalpregion on two wheels and enjoy a diverse range of trails for every level. Whether with a light mountain bike or a fast e-bike, the bike routes can be used in many ways. But beware: the biking network of the Moosalpregion is based on coexistence with hikers. They use the same paths as you. Behave respectfully and watch out for them.

Moosalp Plateau Bike

Once the complete Moosalpregion on the bike please. This tour leads you and your bike once across the entire Moosalpregion and back again. With 48.7 kilometers it is the longest tour of the biker region Oberwallis. However, it can easily be shortened if necessary. Definitely a pleasure tour.

Route:

Starting point is Büchen Zenhäusern. At the restaurant Alpenrösli you can fill up your bottle and you are ready for the tour. Pass numerous chalets and the viewpoint "Hohegga" with a short trail section to the vacation resort Unterbäch. Across the village you reach the "Bächi" and then on to Eischoll to the top station of the chairlift "Striggen". With a magnificent view of the "Undri and Obri Senggalp" you continue to the "Unner Sänntum" in the Ginals. A beautiful trail follows to "Gibidum", always with the majestic Bietschhorn in front of you. Refilled with fresh spring water at the fountain, the descent known in the mountain bike scene as the "Magic Trail" begins. A natural, steep single trail that winds its way down to Brandalp. From Brandalp, the tour leads you back to Bürchen on the gravel road. If you still have enough strength in your legs, you can pedal the 500 meters in altitude to Moosalp on the idyllic mountain road. Otherwise, the post bus will take you comfortably from Bürchen to Moosalp. Directly at Moosalp and with a view of the Saas and Matter valleys with their numerous 4000m peaks, the trail fun begins. Very flowy, easy and clear to ride, the single trail leads through a beautiful larch forest to Törbel. From there, the trail continues to Zeneggen and then climbs to the nature reserve "Mittlere Hellela", which is worth seeing. From the Mittlere Hellela, it is then only a stone's throw back to Bürchen.

Loop Zeneggen - Törbel

From Zeneggen to Törbel and back again. The leisurely route takes you along the Vispertal. This route is a real pleasure for all those who like it leisurely.

Route:

The starting point of the tour is Zeneggen. From the village center, the route is flat in the direction of Gstei. There the tour leaves the tarred road and changes to a forest path. The path goes flat along the mountain slope to the hamlet of Burgen below the village of Törbel. Burgen is a real bijou of beautiful barns and a small chapel. A narrow lane leads you through these beautiful little houses towards the main road. Once on the main road, you descend three hairpin bends until a path leaves the main road on the left and brings you back to Zeneggen. You pass the beautiful hamlet of Unnerflie until you reach a road again at Blattachra. Once there, the road takes you in an ascent of eight hairpin bends back up to Zeneggen. In Zeneggen, the Hotel Alpenblick or the Bistro invites you to linger.
