4 passes - 4 regions - 4 weekends

The Ride the Alps Moosalp is the first event in a series of four. In collaboration with the national Ride the Alps series, Switzerland Tourism and Ochsner Sport, seven legendary passes spread throughout Switzerland will be discoverable without a car this summer. In addition to Moosalp, these are the Sanetsch, Croix-de-Coeur and Nufenen passes. These ascents, spread over four days and reserved exclusively for soft mobility, will allow everyone to ride in the best conditions and in total safety. The start is free of charge. To ensure the safety of participants, registration is required online or on site.

Protection on and off the track

A COVID protection concept was developed for the event in close cooperation with the canton. The start and finish areas have been set up in such a way that there will be no large gatherings of people. Participants are also encouraged to disperse throughout the duration of the event. In addition, the general regulations of the FOPH also apply at this event.

Guests of honor on site

Even well-known Swiss personalities do not miss the luxury of a free pass road. For example, Jan van Berkel, active triathlete, and former ski racer, Didier Défago, are also taking part in the event. So if you are fast enough, you can complete part of the route with them and maybe even overtake them. The two ambassadors of the event will take over the Instagram account of the event on that day and tell everyone who can't be there about the unique pass ride.

Preview of the Tour de Suisse 2022

For the Moosalp region, the event is also a prelude to the summer of 2022, when the Tour de Suisse will make a spectacular stop at Moosalp. The athletes will then contest the final ascent from Stalden via Törbel to Moosalp, analogous to the Ride the Alps. The fourth largest national cycling tour will make a stop in the Moosalp region for the first time in the history of the tour on June 17, 2022. On June 18, there will then be a start in Visp.
