BEST ANNUAL RESULT OF THE MOOSALP BERGBAHNEN
On Friday, October 11, 2019, the 51st Annual General Meeting of the Moosalp Bergbahnen General Meeting of Moosalp Bergbahnen AG took place. There the responsible persons could look back on a successful business year.
The 2018/2019 season remains in good memory in the Moosalpregion. This is despite the fact that at the beginning of the season the snow conditions in the lower part of the ski area, with the exception of the children's paradise, were not good and the guests had to be transported to the valley by chairlift. At the higher altitudes, however, conditions were very good from the first to the last day of operation, and the weather also played along very well over long stretches. Despite eight fewer operating days, net revenue increased by 1.5% to around CHF 1.43 million. The cash flow increased by almost 16% to CHF 270,000.00. Even if the business year closes with a company loss of almost CHF 50,000.00, one can be satisfied with the course of business. After all, this is the best annual result since the foundation of Moosalp Bergbahnen AG. The borrowed capital could also be reduced again by about CHF 140,000.00.
Due to fewer operating days, the number of first-time admissions (ski days) decreased by 846 days (-1.3%), but if these are calculated on the basis of operating days, an increase of 7.2% was recorded.
Steven Lugard stepped down from the Board of Directors after 13 years. He was elected to the Board of Directors in 2006 and even chaired it on an interim basis during the 2017/2018 season.
Those responsible also provided information about the upcoming season and the current advance season ticket sales. This runs until the end of November. Those who buy the season ticket already in October can, among other things, win a training day with Olympic champion and world champion Ramon Zenhäusern. The winter season in the Moosalpregion starts on December 21, 2019 and lasts until March 22, 2020.
