Restaurant Panorama: The meeting place on the Bürchneralp

In May 2017, the two hosts Sandra Schwab and Erich Jung took over the Panorama. With a lot of passion, the two of them run the traditional mountain restaurant, which was opened in the summer of 1963 by Alfons Furrer. The large sun terrace and the homely atmosphere invite you to linger and feast. Guests and locals feel at home here in summer and winter.

With a lot of passion, Erich prepares delicious raclettes and grilled specialties in his grill hut outside on the terrace. Among the recommended classics are "Erich's Schnitzelbrot" or the St. Gallen Olma bratwurst, a reference to his former homeland. Sandra and Erich were at home in the St. Gallen region for a long time. Erich worked independently in the construction industry for 24 years. His partner Sandra had previously worked in the hospitality industry. Both knew the region before they took over the Panorama. Sandra has been skiing in the Moosalpregion since her youth.

When her predecessors Christine and Hans were looking for successors, Sandra noticed an ad on the Internet. She seized the opportunity and has been running the restaurant together with Erich ever since. The two obviously enjoy their work and have found a new home in Bürchen. They skillfully continue the concept of the simple mountain inn and invested a lot of time and effort in their restaurant. With their friendly manner, they and their team are always concerned about the well-being of their guests.

Meeting place for hikers and bikers

Around the Panorama offers a variety of leisure activities. In summer, the restaurant is especially popular with hikers and bikers. Those who are on the road with an e-bike can charge their battery right in the restaurant parking lot and enjoy a raclette on the terrace in the meantime. Up to 18 e-bikes can be charged at the charging station. In addition, the Bürchneralp is a popular meeting place for motorcyclists. Sundays offer the opportunity to have a leisurely brunch with the family. In winter, the restaurant is easy to reach by ski and snowboard and is ideally connected to the ski area.
