Spectacular ski festival in the Moosalpregion

On February 22, the first NightFight presented by EnAlpin took place in the Moosalpregion. A prominent starting field and exciting duels under floodlights characterized the event.

Last Saturday it was "red course ready, blue course ready..." in the Moosalpregion for the first time. The NightFight presented by EnAlpin made a stop in Bürchen, attracting over 100 participants and several hundred spectators. In two qualifying runs, skiers had the chance to qualify for the parallel duels in the evening and thus become part of a spectacular show. The best 32 in the youth and men's categories as well as the 8 fastest women moved on to the finals and fought for victory under floodlights.

Prominent starting field
In addition to the 3 public categories, there was also a celebrity category with invited Valais personalities. They were welcomed on the occasion of a VIP aperitif in the Hotel Bürchnerhof by the president of the board of directors of the Bergbahnen und der Tourismus AG Silvan Zurbriggen and the two managing directors Selina Döringer and Fabrizio Gull. Among those present were personalities such as Pirmin Zurbriggen, Beat Rieder, Fränzi Aufdenblatten, Franz Ruppen and Heidi Zurbriggen.

Thrilling duels
There were many exciting duels, especially among the celebrities. For example, the two mayors of Bürchen and Törbel raced against each other, or there was a duel between skiing legend Pirmin Zurbriggen and Council of States member Beat Rieder. In the end, the singer and guitarist of the band Wintershome Joel Müller won ahead of Silvan Zurbriggen (ex-ski racer), Martial Chanton (bassist Wintershome) and Fränzi Aufdenblatten (ex-ski racer). For each of the four fastest there was a big NightFight trophy, which was made by 3D-Metall in Steg. Furthermore, the winners could look forward to Matterhorn sightseeing flights and gastronomic vouchers.

Organizers satisfied
The organizers draw a very positive feedback after the first edition. "We have received great feedback from participants and spectators and would like to expand the event even more in the future," says OC President Fabrizio Gull. In which form the event will take place in the future, however, is still open.
